Porto Recanati and the Conero Riviera

Porto Recanati is a town on the Conero Riviera that overlooks the sea: it is the perfect starting point for exploring the Riviera and the Marche region, thanks to its central location and good connections with nearby towns, thanks to buses and coaches that connect with neighbouring municipalities and the provinces of Macerata and Ancona. Porto Recanati can be reached either by train or by car, as it is also served by the "Loreto-Porto Recanati" motorway exit.

Porto Recanati

The pretty little town of Porto Recanati was, until less than a century ago, a charming fishing village. Over the years, it has been transformed into a town with a tourist vocation, attracting many visitors each season.
This seaside town is easily accessible by bicycle, thanks to its flat terrain, and from here you can set off on bike excursions along paths suitable for beginners or experts.
Porto Recanati comes alive in all seasons, with markets, events and shows, but undoubtedly the most historic and best known of all is the Ferragosto celebrations, the day on which the town is lit up with fireworks in the evening.

Recanati

A town with a history that intertwines music and poetry

Recanati is the birthplace of two truly world-famous Italians: Giacomo Leopardi and Beniamino Gigli.
The former is one of the greatest poets of national literature, known worldwide. In Recanati, it is possible to visit the house where he was born, his private library and the many places mentioned in the verses of his works.
Also not to be missed is a visit to the Colle dell'Infinito, a FAI protected property for several years.
The latter, an internationally renowned opera tenor and consummate actor of the first half of the 20th century, can be visited in the Museum of the same name, located at the MUM (Museum of Music).

Loreto

The City of the Holy House: a triumph of art and history

Loreto is universally known as a religious and spiritual pilgrimage destination, thanks to the presence of the Holy House of Loreto, kept inside the city's Basilica.
With its large dome, the Basilica is visible from several points in the Marche region and is often visited for its artistic and architectural beauty, as well as for fideistic reasons.
Undoubtedly, countless historical and artistic artefacts are preserved here, and from the square in front of it you can enjoy a magnificent view of the gentle hills of the Marche region.
